Why Blinds Are More Than Just Window Coverings

When it comes to making a grand first impression, your front door sets the tone — and nothing says timeless elegance like a custom full round top fiberglass door with sidelights. Our latest project in Barrie showcases just how powerful the right entryway can be in transforming the curb appeal and energy efficiency of a home.

The Project: A Blend of Durability & Beauty

Our Barrie client was looking for a low-maintenance, high-impact front door that could bring in more natural light, offer excellent insulation, and match their home’s classic architecture. We recommended a custom fiberglass door with a full round top and matching sidelights — and the result is nothing short of stunning.

Why Fiberglass?

  1. Weather-Resistant: Perfect for Barrie’s changing climate — no warping, rusting, or cracking.
  2. Energy Efficient: Foam-filled core and tight seals reduce heat loss.
  3. Low Maintenance: Unlike wood, fiberglass requires no regular sanding or staining.
  4. Beautiful Custom Look: Can mimic real wood grain or be painted to match any aesthetic.

We take pride in helping homeowners across Barrie and surrounding areas choose doors that combine style, function, and long-lasting performance. From consultation to final installation, our team ensures every detail is handled with care.

The home originally featured a traditional 6-panel steel entry door with two sidelights and a round transom above. The customer’s vision was to eliminate the transom entirely and install a full-height round top entry door with sidelights—creating a seamless, tall and elegant entrance.
