Before & After: Bay Window Replacement in Oshawa

Before: Original Bay Window Condition

The original white bay window with colonial grills had deteriorated seals, brittle caulking, and visible frame movement. The old unit allowed constant drafts and condensation along the edges, making the sitting area uncomfortable and energy inefficient—especially during colder Oshawa winters.

After: New Energy-Efficient Bay Window Installation

The new bay window, featuring a black exterior and white interior, delivers a sleek, modern look without grills, creating a clear and open view. A full stud-to-stud bay window replacement was completed, with the old frame fully removed and all wall cavities filled with closed-cell spray foam for superior insulation and air sealing.

The exterior was finished with custom aluminum capping and integrated flashing under the roof overhang for long-term weather protection. Inside, the window was trimmed with a 3½” colonial casing, providing a clean, polished finish that blends well with the home’s interior style.

Performance and Visual Improvements

This bay window rebuild significantly improves insulation, indoor comfort, and noise reduction while enhancing the home’s curb appeal. The black aluminum exterior ties in seamlessly with the roofline and siding, creating a modern yet timeless contrast that suits many Oshawa homes.
